On the earth,What do you see?
Grass and treesAnd the deep blue       sea.
In the earth,What do you see?
Metal and rockAs hot as can be!
Where can you find all these things?What kind of things are grass andtrees?What about water, metal and rocks?
Aside from grass and trees, whatare the other living things foundon earth?Why do you say that they areliving things?
What is Science?
The word science comes from the Latin word scientia,  which means, “to know”.
Science is a systematized body of knowledge based        on facts.
It explains occurrences  through objective means,such as observing, studying      and experimenting.
It is a way oflearning how things       work.
Is ScienceImportant?
The answer lies rightin front of our eyes.
Think about a worldwithout technology.
No computers, nocars. No vaccines or cures for diseases.
Life would be   joyless andextremely hard.
It was not longago that this was    the case.
Importance of Science   and Technology
They provide answer tomany questions about the      environment.
They make certain things possible.
They help us to doour work efficiently.
They help improve the   quality of life.
Valuing:All things around us areimportant, how could we   take care of them?
