  2. 2. WHY IS SEPTEMBER 11TH IMPORTANT? Although you likely do not remember this event, you live in a society that was dramatically affected.
  3. 3. WHERE WAS THE ATTACK?• Located mostly in New York City, but affected Washington DC and Pennsylvania as well• In NYC, the attack was centered on the World Trade Center, specifically the Twin Towers
  4. 4. THE WORLD TRADE CENTER• The South Tower of the WTC stood at 1362 feet and the North Tower stood 6 feet taller, at 1368 feet• Both towers had 110 stories• 50,000 people worked in the Twin Towers
