The science of getting rich Presentation Transcript

  • 1. Lic. María Esther Rocha Muñoz August - 2012
  • 2. Our thoughts and expectations wieldtremendous power and influence inour lives. We do not always get whatwe deserve in life, but we usually getno more than what we expect; wereceive what we believe.Unfortunatelly, this principle works asstrongly in the negative as it does inthe positive. 2
  • 3. Your mind is similar to a computer. What you program into it dictateshow it will function. 3
  • 4. “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace Battles 4
  • 5. There is noting wrong in wanting to getrich. It is in the use of material things that a man finds full life for his body, develops his mind, and unfolds his soul. It is therefore of supreme importance to him that he shoul be rich. 5
  • 6. Three motives for which we liveWe live for the body.We live for the mind.We live for the soul. 6
  • 7. Getting rich is not the result of saving or“thrift”Getting rich is not a matter ofenvironment.Getting rich is the result ofdoing things in a Certain Way.No one is kept in poverty by ashortness in the supply of riches; thereis more than enough for all. 7
  • 8. The supply will never run short.Youmust never think that the supply islimited. 8
  • 9. Men get rich by doing things in a CertainWay; and in order to do so, men mustbecome able to think in a Certain Way.A man s way of doing things is thedirect result of the way he thinks aboutthings.To think what you want to think is tothink TRUTH, regardless of appearances 9
  • 10. Five fundamental principles as a first step toward getting richThere is a thinking stuff from which allthings are made, and which, in its originalstate, permeates, penetrates, and fills theinterspaces of the universe.A thought, in this substance, producesthe thing that is imagined by the thought. 10
  • 11. Man can form things in his thought, and, by impressing his thought uponformless substance, can cause thething he thinks about to be created. 11
  • 12. In order to do this, man must passfrom the competitive to the creativemind; he must form a clear mentalpicture of the things he wants, and holdthis picture in his thoughts with the fixedPURPOSE to get what he wants, andthe unwavering FAITH that he does getwhat he wants, closing his mind to allthat may tend to shake his purpose, dimhis vision, or quench his faith. 12
  • 13. That he may receive what he wantswhen it comes, man must act NOWupon the people and things in hispresent enveironment. The science of getting rich begings withthe absolute acceptance of this faith. If you want something, hold it with themost absolute and questioning faith thatit is coming; never think of it, or speak,of it, in any other way than as being sureto arrive. Claim it as already yours. 13
  • 14. The whole process of mental adjustmentcan be summed up in one word, gratitude. The Law of Gratitude is the naturalprinciple that action and rection arealways equal, and in opposite directions. The Creative Power within us makesus into the image of that which wegive our attention. 14
  • 15. We are Thinking Substances, andthinking substance always takes theform of that which it thinks about. You must form a clear and definitemental picture of what you want.Behind your clear vision must be thepurpose to bring it out to tangibleexpression. 15
  • 16. See the things you want as if they wereactually around you all the time.See yourself as owning and using them. Makeuse of them in imagination just as you will usethem when they are your tangible possessions.Dwell upon your mental picture until it is clearand distinct, and then take the Mental Attitude ofOwnership toward everything in that picture. Donot waiver for an instant in the faith that it is real. 16
  • 17. Be as thankful for it all the time as youexpect to be when it has tacen form.Remember that it is faith and purpose inthe use of the imagination which makethe difference between the scientist andthe dreamer. 17
  • 18. Substance is friendly to you, and ismore anxious to give you what youwant than you are to get it. 18
  • 19. The more steady and continuous yourfaith and purpose, the more rapidly youwill get rich, because you will makeonly POSITIVE impressions uponSubstance; and you will not neutralizeor offfset them by negativeimpressions. 19
  • 20. If you want to become rich, you mustnot make a study of poverty. The poor do not need charity; they needinspiration. You cannot retain a true and clear visionof wealth if you are constantly turningyour attention to opposing pictures, whether they be external or imaginary. 20
  • 21. The very best thing you can do for thewhole world is to make the most ofyourself. You can serve God and man in no moreeffective way than by getting rich; thatis, if you get rich by the creative methodand not by the competetive one. 21
  • 22. THOUGHT is the Creative PowerThe scientific use of thought consistsin forming a clear and distinct mentalimage of what you want;in holdindfast to the purpose to get what youwant; and in realizing with gratefulfaith that you do get what you want. 22
  • 23. By thought, the thing you want isbrought to you; by action you receive it. Your vision and faith will set the creative force in motion to bring it toward you, and your action will cause the forces in your own environment to move you toward the place you want. 23
  • 24. Desire is a manifestation of powerUse your imagination on the details ofyour vision, and to contemplate themuntil they are firmly fixed upon memory. If you wish speedy results, spendpractically all your spare time in thispractice. 24
  • 25. Do all that you can do in a perfectmanner every day, but do it withouthaste, worry, or fear. Go as fast as youcan, but never hurry.Remember that in the moment youbegin to hurry you cease to be aCREATOR and become aCOMPETITOR. 25
  • 26. Getting rich is an exact scienceThe Law of the Increase ofLife is as mathematicallycertain in its operation as thelaw of gravitation. 26
  • 27. Form your clear vision of what you wantand begin to act with faith and purpose.Whenever you do fall into old ways ofthoughts, correct yourself instantly.Guard your speech.Never admit the possibility of failure. 27
  • 28. Give every man more in use valuethan you take from him in cash value.Do not expose yourself to any opposite, pessimistic or conflicting idea.Spend most of your leisure time incontemplating your vision and cultivatinggratitude. 28
  • 29. “The men and women who practicethe foregoing instructions willcertainly get rich; and the richesthey receive will be in exactproportion to the definiteness oftheir vision, the fixity of theirpurpose, the steadiness of theirfaith, and the depth of theirgratitude”. 29
  • 30. There is nothing you cannot be, do or have.
