  • 1. The Lottery BY: CARLA VELASQUEZ
  • 2. The Beginning It was June 27th and it was long summer hot days in the village. People were gathering their children for the lottery and children were already gathering piles of stones. The lottery would always take place in where the Halloween dances , square dances , and teen clubs were conducted. Mr. Summers conducted almost everything including the lottery. Everybody was waiting for Mr. Summers with the black box.
  • 3. The Waiting !!!! While everyone was waiting for the lottery Mr. Summers had to write down the heads of families in a piece of paper. Then while everyone was getting ready to get their paper Mrs. Hutchinson came in a hurry because she forgot that today was the day of the lottery. Many people started to get their pieces of paper and they were looking nervously because they didn’t know who was going to win the lottery.
  • 4. The Quotes!!!!!! “Lottery in June, corn be heavy soon.”
  • 5. Facts… The black box has been made out of the past black boxes used for the lottery.
