2. The Beginning
It was June 27th and it was long summer hot days in the
village.
People were gathering their children for the lottery and
children were already gathering piles of stones.
The lottery would always take place in where the
Halloween dances , square dances , and teen clubs were
conducted.
Mr. Summers conducted almost everything including
the lottery.
Everybody was waiting for Mr. Summers with the black
box.
3. The Waiting !!!!
While everyone was waiting for the lottery Mr.
Summers had to write down the heads of families in
a piece of paper.
Then while everyone was getting ready to get their
paper Mrs. Hutchinson came in a hurry because she
forgot that today was the day of the lottery.
Many people started to get their pieces of paper and
they were looking nervously because they didn’t
know who was going to win the lottery.
