Miguel Hernández was a renowned Spanish poet. His first book of poems, "perito en lunas", was published in 1933 containing 42 poems. Two of his most famous poems were "The lullaby of the onion" and "Elegy to Ramon Sije". The poem "The lullaby of the onion" describes an onion as being frost-closed and poor, representing the frost of days and nights, as well as hunger.
