    • At every tournament we attend YOU are a representative of:
      • Clear Creek ISD
      • Clear Brook High School and its administrators
      • Clear Brook BPA
      • Your chapter officers
      • Your chapter sponsors
    • As such:

    • Your dress should reflect your ability and desire to be successful!
  • 4. Guys:
    • Recommended:
      • Suit with matching pants and jacket
      • Several single color long sleeved shirts
      • Coordinating ties
      • Hair out of your eyes/away from your face
      • A belt (that match your pants)
      • Socks (that match your pants)
      • DRESS shoes
  • 5. For Instance:
  • 6. Guys:
    • Alternative:
      • A blazer with coordinating pants
      • Long sleeved shirts
      • Coordinating ties
      • Hair out of your eyes/away from your face
      • A belt (that match your pants)
      • Socks (that match your pants)
      • DRESS shoes

  • 8. Guys:
    • Minimum:
      • Long sleeved shirts
      • Coordinating ties
      • Coordinating slacks/dress pants
      • Hair out of your eyes/away from your face
      • A belt (that match your pants)

  • 10. General Advice:
    • Don’t spend a lot of money (top-of-the-line not necessary) on these clothes. You WILL outgrow them!
    • Always iron your clothes to keep them neat and wrinkle-free
    • Some of these items you likely already have or may be able to borrow from your dad (ie ties).
    • When you look professional, you perform better, feel better about yourself and look like a more confident competitor!
    • Conservative colors are best – such as black, gray, or blue. Wild colors distract more than they focus attention on you.
    • TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR APPEARANCE!
  • 11. What should I never wear as a BPA competitor in a round?
    • Flip Flops or sandals
    • Tennis shoes
    • Jeans
    • Shorts
    • Short sleeved shirts
    • T-shirts (logos or not)
    • Tank tops
    • Hats
    • Exposed boxer shorts or underwear
    • Sunglasses
    • My cell phone, IPOD or MP3 player
  • 12. For Instance:
  • 13. Girls:
    • Recommended:
      • Pant suit or solid-colored dress
      • Coordinating shirt for pant suits
      • DRESS shoes / low heels
        • If you can’t walk quickly without waddling, don’t wear them
        • Practice walking in whatever shoes you wear
      • Hair out of your eyes/away from your face
      • If you show ANY cleavage, it’s wrong

    • Alternative:
      • Skirt ( not mini-skirt)*
      • Coordinating blouse*
      • Dress shoes
        • If you can’t walk quickly without waddling, don’t wear them
      • Hair out of your eyes/away from your face
      • If you show ANY cleavage, it’s wrong
      • * solid-colored highly preferred

    • Low-cut tops are NOT allowed! Your judges do not need to see cleavage!
    • A classy dress shoe, perhaps a modest heel (NOT a stiletto!)
    • Apply tasteful make-up if you wear make-up
    • Keep your jewelry (if any) simple
    • Keep your hair up and away from your face

  • 18. What should I never wear at any BPA competition event?
    • Flip Flops or sandals

    • Short sleeved shirts

    • Tank tops
    • Spaghetti straps of any kind, including exposed bra straps
    • “ Strappy” shirts
    • Overdone outfits (not a prom dress)
    • Revealing tops (don’t shows ANY cleavage or the top of your shoulder)
    • Tops that are too small (if it shows more than 1 curve, it’s too tight)
    • No skin should show between your armpit and your knees (not even around your waist when you raise your elbows over your head)
    • Unmatched tops/bottoms
    • Wrinkled outfits
    • Anything see-through

  • 20. Exceptions:
    • The only exceptions to these guidelines are:
      • When traveling to/from a competition
      • When you are inside your hotel room
      • If you are willing to have your parents immediately come to pick you up from a competition and repay all associated fees and travel expenses.
