Why must we have Individual Professional Development Plans?<br />Florida Statute 1012.98 (4)(b)(5) School Community Professional Development Act <br />Requires each school principal to establish and maintain an individual professional development plan for each instructional employee assigned to the school<br />

When must the Individual Professional Development Plan be completed?<br /><ul><li> The IPDP is to be completed within the first</li></ul> 30 days of the instructional professional’s<br /> employment at the work location and may be <br /> revised during the school year as needed<br /><ul><li>Principal approves the initial IPDP
  4. 4. The revisions must be mutually agreed upon</li></ul> by the instructional professional and the <br /> principal<br />

IPDP Components<br /><ul><li> Student Performance Data </li></ul> (specific performance data for the students that are assigned to the <br />teacher) <br /> - Disaggregated classroom-level student achievement data <br /> - Data from School Improvement Plan<br /> IPEGS annual evaluation results from previous year<br /><ul><li> Training Objectives (What are the objectives of the PD that the</li></ul> teacher will be participating in that meets the needs of his/he students?)<br /><ul><li> Professional Development Activities

If not, why not and what are the <br /> follow up plans?<br /> What was mastered and implemented by the teacher as a result<br /> of the professional development activities?<br /> What were the changes in the educator’s professional <br /> practice as a result of the professional learning activities? <br /> What was the impact of the professional development<br /> on the student achievement? <br />

Individual Professional Development Plan<br /><ul><li> A copy of each teacher’s IPDP must be approvedby </li></ul> the principal and retained in the teacher’s personnel file<br /> The IPDP can be revised and updated during the year <br /> as needed. <br /><ul><li>The IPDP has no official weighting in IPEGS; however, it</li></ul> can be used by the teacher as supporting <br /> documentation for Standard 7: Professionalism.<br />
