Did more with less c. Bartered, borrowed, and exchanged services d. Everyone in the household contributed e. Everyone in the household worked outside of the home f. Appreciated & maintained what they had g. Were happy and “didn’t even know they were poor!” h. Grew their own fruits & vegetables i. Sewed their own clothes j. Accepted & gave “HAND ME DOWNS” k. Socialized more within the family l. Walked everywhere m. Always bought on sale 2. Set your priorities-take the time to do so: a. What/whom is most important to you? b. How are you managing your time? c. With whom do you associate? d. Where is your hard-earned money going? Do you have a monthly budget? e. Do you maintain your hard-earned possessions? f. Question your acquisition of “things.” g. Evaluate your level of life satisfaction h. Evaluate your NEEDS VS. WANTS (what IS motivating what you THINK are your needs: Depression? Anxiety? Loneliness? Fear? Escaping Stress?) 3. Make a plan: a. Write it down b. KISS principle: Keep it Simple Stupid/Silly! c. Make a commitment to follow the plan! d.
