Tensta• In the late 1960s the Swedish government pledged toconstruct 1.000.000 new rented apartments in 10 years• ”Miljonprogrammet” (”The million programme”)• New suburbs were built rapidly, among these wereTensta• Tensta was constructed between 1966 – 1972• Many of the suburbs in the Million Programme, includingTensta, have become populated mainly with immigrants• Today Tensta has approx. 18.000 inhabitants, with about90% with another ethnicity than Swedish.
