  • A very interesting idea. Would love to see the concept develop and come to life. I can only imagine the various perspectives one could add, more so as my origin is from the world's largest democracy and I'm now settled in the middle east which is absolutely contrasting. For instance, in most parts of the region women cannot even greet men as equals!

  • 2. =Cultural Treasures is an online platform that allows users to post and sharemanners of their own and of other cultures with users from all over the world.It can be useful to know about manners when you are travelling, doingbusiness abroad or are researching different cultures.The platform transcends existing references on manners because it does notonly describe manners generically. It gives deep insights in the contexts andpractical use of manners and related manners. Therefore by using thisplatform you will never act inappropriate when dealing with other cultures. 1

Manners?What are manners and how are theyconnected to culture?In this small infographic I would like to showyou how everything is linked together.Key factors in manners are:•Country•Region•Ethnicity•Religion•TraditionsConnected to theme are also the job functionof a person and the age of a person.These key factors together are the culture ofa person.Which means that manners and culture arejoined in each other. 2

Super short introduction•An online platform that will open a door to information that has never been seen or published before!•Insight information about manners•User generated content•Content provided by experts and professionals but also people from different layers in society•This content will be stored in a way that it can eventually be moulded easily into several mediums•This thanks to the way each post is tagged with information provided by each user•Users from the same or from a different cultures can interact with each other on the community•Thanks to this interaction the users will get more respect and understanding for each other•Users will be able to find and build up a network for both personal and business useWhy this platform?•Manners from different cultures have never been shared along with the interesting insights•These insights are only known by people who are very familiar with the culture or raised in it•There is a strong need for more deeper and detailed information about manners•Key factors in this information are: Country, Region, Ethnic group, Religion, Job function and age•These key factors make it very hard to map and list the manners in a linear way, this platform can!•There seems to be a strong need for a community about manners where people can interact•More understanding and respect for different cultures, and a network private and business 4

In the shape of a responsive website•Post a question or a manner, done by users•A club (the users) of selected professionals, experts, students, business people, travellers, culture freaks•Together they share, interact and make content which only they can use!•The platform will become an community and online meeting point•A database will store all information by tags given by the users•The information can be used for anything, articles, mails, books, projects, study, infographics and more!•Look for contacts and work, people always need advice, translators, experts, meetings and workshopsThe platform, online•Online you can connect with people all over the world•Connection is made quite easy•The boundaries for visitors are low, so it is very easy to visit•Privacy is no problem on this platform•Easy to connect to social media•One central place online•Log in can be done by PC, smart phone and tablets 5

This platform rules because:•It is online so easy to access anywhere!•People form different social layers can interact, which is crucial for good info.•Its not a one way train, information is shared, discussed and commented•The users know what they are talking about, only people with the right knowledge•The platform is connected closely to social media, its of this modern time•Young and old people can be connected, which is good for the future•The manners can be mapped and structured thanks to the tags, this is unique•Privacy is respected and will be protected•Users need to be somebody or have a goal to be on the platform 6
