  • 3. How it works: ● ● Letters are made up of patterns. Usually 7 dots vertically, but variations have been observed. 3
  • 4. How it works: ● ● Each character has a map of dots that are printed. For example: – H has 7 dots in the first column, two dots in position 4 for the next two, then 7 dots for the final part. 4

  • 6. Pros and Cons ● ● The cheapest per page method for printing. Simple to build and maintain. ● ● Very low resolution. Doesn't cope that well with colour. ● 6
