  • 3. Love story Jo was the most popular boy in the school. He was tall and strong, with dark brown hair and green eyes and the sweetest smile you could think of. He was good at all sports and he was top of his class. There was keen competition among the girls to attract his attention and a date with him was a real conquest, something to dream about and to boast of. Yet, Jo didn´t show any special preference, he was nice to all of them, even the plain , shy ones but he didn’t have a steady girlfriend.
  • 4. She was the only one who didn’t seem to have any romantic interest in him; she treated him in a friendly way and the others didn’t consider her as a rival. On the contrary, she was someone who knew him very well and who could listen confidences. Jo and she were the best of the friends, they talked about their problems, exchanged ideas, gave advice to each other and teased each other occasionally.
  • 5. One day Jo didn’t go to school. He stayed away for a week, then the news came: his mother had died. When he went back to school, no one dared approach him. He looked tired and sad, like someone who walks without knowing where he’s going. No one Knew what to say to him, the easy smiles and superficial chat couldn´t reach him any more. When he met she, they didn´t say much, there was no need to. She simply shook hands with him , then hugged him briefly and asked him to go and see her in the afternoon .
  • 6. It all started right then There´s no more competition for Jo, now. They all know it´s useless for Jo and She love story was born of the steady roots of the friendship and understanding, therefore there isn´t anything better you can offer either of them.
