The Concept <ul><li>Objective: To strengthen learning of children and bringing back drop out children in the mainstream of education . </li></ul><ul><li>Target Groups : School going/drop out children of std.2-5 who lag behind in learning </li></ul><ul><li>Goal : To cover 3000 children over two years. </li></ul>

Programme Structure <ul><li>One unit of class consisting of 25 children </li></ul><ul><li>One teacher per unit of class </li></ul><ul><li>Duration of one unit of class is 6 months </li></ul><ul><li>One Area Co-ordinator (AC) for 10 units of class i.e. for every 250 children there is one AC. </li></ul><ul><li>A.Cs report to the consultant </li></ul><ul><li>Space provided by the community </li></ul>
  4. 4. Human Resource Planning <ul><li>Recruitment of Teachers </li></ul><ul><li>Gender : Male/Female. Preference to be given to females. </li></ul><ul><li>Minimum Qualification : Intermediate </li></ul><ul><li>Age : Above 18 years as on date of written test </li></ul><ul><li>Selection Process : Written Test + Interview </li></ul><ul><li>Essential Requirement: From the same locality and ready to provide safe space for sitting 25 children/community places. </li></ul>

Training and Workshop <ul><li>Teachers & A.Cs to be trained before starting classes on the following : </li></ul><ul><li>- Identification of children on the basis of age,class,economic status and level of learning. </li></ul><ul><li>- Testing the base level of learning </li></ul><ul><li>- Identification of weakness of children’s learning </li></ul><ul><li>- What to teach and how to teach </li></ul><ul><li>- Setting Goals </li></ul><ul><li>- Report preparations </li></ul><ul><li>Quarterly workshop to be organised to re-inforce the program and review the progress of children. </li></ul>
