Transcript of "Circ de la blood"

 1. 1. Introduction to the circulatory system
2. 2. Hematology: The specialty in medicine that focuses on blood.
Into to theCirculatory System
3. 3. Blood is considered to be Connective Tissue Eventhough it has a different function in comparison to other connective tissues it does have an extracellular matrix. The matrix is the plasma and erythrocytes, leukocytes and platelets are suspended in the plasma.
Intro to the Circulatory System
4. 4. Formed Elements of Blood
Erythrocytes: Red blood Cells, are the most common type of blood cell and the vertebrate organism's principal means of delivering oxygen (O2) to the body tissues via the blood flow through the circulatory system
Intro to the Circulatory System
5. 5. Formed Elements of Blood

Leukocytes: White blood Cells, are cells of the immune system defending the body against both infectious disease and foreign materials.

Intro to the Circulatory System
