    MLK MLK Presentation Transcript

    • By: Trystan Brown Taylor Steier
    • A hero is a person man or woman who is admired for his/her courage, outstanding, achievements, and noble qualities.
    •     Martin Luther King Jr. Born Jan. 15 1929- died April 4 1968 Hometown: Atlanta, Georgia Changed name from michtell to martin, Has a sister and a brother, Racism was a major during his birth and throughout his life.
    •  Martin Luther King wanted to end racism mostly because he was black and he also didn’t want war between the white and colored people. He wanted peace so colored people could play with the white people, and the white could play with colored.
    •   Obstacles MLK faced were racism and the white people trying to stop him from stopping racism. MLK received help from black and white people who believed what he believed.
    •  The lesson people learned is that racism is wrong and all are equal. We if you stay at something you can accomplish it because MLK stayed at stopping racism until most people stopped, and he kept going until he was assassinated on April 4 1968. ( Trystan’s birthday is April 4)
    •  MLK functioned as a hero by stopping something that was problem for a long time before he was born and a while after. MLK tried to stop racism with protest against whites and civil rights. Martin Luther King Jr. was not racist.
    •  I would compare MLK to Jason in the Lost Hero because Jason is a leader and wants to change by stopping an evil and Martin Luther King jr. wanted to stop racism.
