I gave this talk at the Open Hardware Summit 2013 at the MIT in Boston, MA, on September 6 2013.

In this presentation, I share the results of a study I made comparing 100 open hardware startups. The movement is still very new and this talk is bringing data that had never been gathered and analyzed before.

As a complement to the slides, I recommend to read the dedicated article on MakingSociety: http://makingsociety.com/2013/09/the-state-of-open-hardware-entrepreneurship-2013/ as well as looking at the MakingSociety Wiki, which is the directory of open hardware startups.
