  • 2. There is no daydream better than a freshly baked ice cream cone topped with the finest vanilla bean ice cream and sprinkles.
  • 3. This is certainly a summer time favorite in many different communities, and with the right tools, it can be an obtainable summer time favorite in your community as well!
  • 4. All you need to do is follow these few simple steps to make that delicious homemade ice cream cone .
  • 5. First, you will need to gather your ingredients.
  • 6. This includes one-half cup of finely ground almonds, one-fourth of a cup of all-purpose flour, one-half of a cup of confectioner’s sugar, one-fourth of a teaspoon of salt, two large egg whites (no yolks), one-fourth of a teaspoon of almond extract, one-half of a teaspoon of water, and five tablespoons of unsalted, melted butter.
  • 7. Next, you will need to gather your equipment.
  • 8. This includes one baking sheet, one foam cone from any local crafts store, and parchment paper.
  • 9. Then, you will need to cut a strip of the parchment paper which equals the height as the craft cone.
  • 10. Next, heat your oven to 300 degrees while coating a large, heavy baking sheet with cooking spray and/or lined parchment paper.
  • 11. Using a food processor, get your almonds as finely ground as possible. Then, sift in your flour, sugar, and salt.
  • 12. In another bowl, you will need to whisk together the egg whites and almond extract.
  • 13. This step is followed by the adding of the butter and the flour.
  • 14. If the mixture is too runny once it has been blended, you may need to refrigerate it for a few minutes.
  • 15. Take a heaping tablespoon of your mixture and slap it onto the baking sheet.
  • 16. Smooth your batter heap with the back of a spoon until it looks like a circle with a 6-inch diameter.
  • 17. Put the baking tray into the oven, preferably the middle of the oven, and then flip the cone mixture halfway into the bake-time.
  • 18. The total bake-time should only be about 8 to 10 minutes long.
  • 19. If your dish is really high or heavy, it may take up to 20 minutes to fully cook.
  • 20. The best thing to do is keep an eye on your cones.
  • 21. Once a sufficient amount of cone-baking time has passed, remove the tray from the oven.
  • 22. Use your spatula to loosen the cookie from the baking sheet.
  • 23. Once freed, you will need to roll up the cookie into a cone-shape; make sure that the seam is facing down.
  • 24. Once you have your cone rolled, stick it back in the oven for 15 to 30 seconds so that it can harden into the cone-shape.
  • 25. When the cone is complete, the very last step is to buy your favorite type of ice cream and plop it atop the newly created cone.
  • 26. You can add sprinkles or syrup or any other topping that you like.
