All players for the Punta Cana Spring Classic will be staying at the luxurious Majestic Elegance Punta Cana ***** all inclusive resort in Punta
Cana. The Majestic is located directly on the ocean and approx. 35 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport. Facilities and amenities
include 6 restaurants, 9 bars w/ premium drinks, spa, gym, Jacuzzi in every room, DVD player, 32” plasma TV, room service, pillow menu,
and more.

Championship Golf Courses
We have selected the best golf courses in Punta Cana where the players will compete during the tournament week. The golf courses for the
tournament include Punta Blanca (Nick Price design), La Cana (P.B. Dye design by the ocean), Punta Espada (Jack Nicklaus signature
design by the ocean) and Corales (Tom Fazio desing by the ocean). Roundtrip transportation, green fee, golf cart, range balls are included in
the tournament package. Caddies are available at La Cana and mandatory at Punta Espada and Corales golf courses.
During the tournament week, the players will have a day off where we invite them to go to Punta Espada golf course to see the final round of
the PGA Champions Tour LIVE. Roundtrip transportation and entrance ticket is included in the tournament package.

24th of March Arrivals / check in / tournament registration
1:00 - 5:00 pm Check in at the reception & registration at the tournament hospitality desk
25th of March Optional practice round (included / not included – To be confirmed)
7:30 pm Opening ceremony with dinner
26th of March 1st round at Punta Blanca
9:00 am Shot gun
6:30 pm After golf at the lobby bar of Majestic Elegance Punta Cana with results of the day
27th of March 2nd round at La Cana (caddies are available – not included)

28th of March PGA Champions Tour in Punta Espada
10:00 am Pick up in Majestic Elegance Punta Cana (return after the prize ceremony)
29th of March 3rd round at Punta Espada (caddies are mandatory – tips not included)

30th of March 4th round at Corales (caddies are mandatory – tips not included)

Tournament Format
The tournament will be played over 72 holes (18 holes per day).
The tournament will be played on 4 different golf courses.
The tournament will be played as stroke play from 7/8 of hcp.
The winner of the tournament will be the person with the lowest stroke play NET score.
In case of a tie for the 1st place, there will be a sudden death play-off on the 18th hole. The players will keep on playing the 18th hole
until a winner has been found. In the sudden death play-off, the players will play from the assigned handicaps.
Other ties will be resolved according to the mathematical method: Last 36 holes, last 18 holes, last 9 holes, last 6 holes, last 3 holes,
last hole and if still no winner has been found, the player with the lowest handicap will be announced as the winner.
If a player has not completed a hole in 9 strokes, the player must pick up the ball, and write 10 on the score card.
The tournament will be played according to the rules of golf from Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews with the additional local rules
from the courses.
The referee’s decision is final according to rule 34.2.

Our golf tournaments: For the past 3 years we have been organizing and hosting two yearly golf
tournaments – Punta Cana Open (Oct/Nov) and Punta Cana Spring Classic (Mar/Apr). Each
tournament has been a great success and many of the players keep coming back every year.
Previously, the players stayed at the Meliá Caribe Tropical resort, but for next year we have decided to
upgrade the hotel in order to create a slightly different and better package.
We are with you every step of the way – from the very first e-mail you send us till your clients arrive in
Punta Cana. During the tournament week, we are on the golf courses every day with the players, we
host an “after golf” event at the hotel after each round with daily prizes and we are there for the official
dinners. When it is time for the players to return to their home, we see them off and wish them a safe
journey home.
