End Time Church Deception Powerpoint Presentation End Time Church Deception Powerpoint Presentation Presentation Transcript

  • End Time Church Deception Are you prepared?
    • Since the beginning of the church age every generation thought that they would be the last one.
    • What is unique about this generation is that Israel was not a nation from 70 A.D. until 1848. Israel is the “fig” tree referenced in Matt. 24:32-35, and Israel has become a mature fig tree in our generation, but it has not had the first blossom, which will occur when tribulation begins and the 144,000 Jewish evangelists come to the stage.
  • The Last Generation
    • Knowledge will increase. (Dan. 12:4)
    • Earthquakes and natural disasters will increase.
    • Terrorists will nuclear capabilities/results.
    • Human cloning and Satan’s attempt to alter human genetics, like prior to flood (Jude 4).
    • Technology for “the mark”
  • The Last Generation
    • The move toward a single world religion, whereby all paths to God are valid/honored.
    • The move toward a single political system
    • The move toward globalization of our trade.
    • Men of this day similar to those before the days of Noah “lovers of themselves and lovers of money” (2 Tim 3:1-5).
    • Whatever the age, we are indeed living in a time of one of the greatest deceptions in the history of The Church Age.
    • If we are indeed in the “last days”, what we believe on the issue of the rapture of The Church and the end times prophecies is one of the most important doctrines of our times, following the the pillars of repentance, faith in Christ Jesus, baptism and the call to evangelize.
    • Such deception will feed into the “great falling away” that will occur from within The Church in the last days.
    • As Romans 13:11 states “And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed”
    • There is, however, much persecution and suffering to be endured before Christ’s return for The Church.
  • Discussion Outline
    • Fallacies Believed by Many Christians Today
    • True End Time Prophecies Supported by Scriptures
    • Timeline of Final Events
    • Our Lack of Preparedness
    • What Can We Do to be Ready?
  • Fallacy #1
    • The Church will not experience the The Tribulation .
    • 1 Thessalonians 5:9 states, “For God does not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
    • This verse is focuses on the wrath of Hell and Gehenna and not wrath in general.
  • Truth #1
    • The Church will experience The Tribulation .
      • Matt. 24:29-31,
      • Lk. 21:25-28,
      • 2 Thess. 2:1-3
      • 1 Cor. 15:51-52,
      • Rev. 10:7,
      • 1 Thess. 4:15-18.
    • Matthew 24:29-31, “Immediately after the distress of those days the sun will be darkened and the moon will no longer give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. And He will send his angels out with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”
    • Luke 21:25-28, “There were signs in the sun, moon, and stars. On earth the nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive about what is coming upon the world, for the heavens will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and glory. When these things begin to take place stand up and lift up your heads because your redemption is drawing nearer.”
    • 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3, “Concerning the coming of our Lord and our being gathered up to him , we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not occur until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.”
    • 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, “Listen, I tell you a mystery : We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet . For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable and we will be changed.”
    • Revelation 10:7, “But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.”
    • 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18, “According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord , will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Therefore encourage each other with these words.”
  • #2-The Wrath Excuse
    • If The Church is not in The Tribulation because of wrath, no Christians should be in The Tribulation.
    • The tribulation saints will have the seal of God
      • Rev. 7:3, 9:4
    • The tribulation saints will, however, experience the wrath of man.
      • Lk. 21:23, “There will be great distress in the land and wrath against his people.” (See also Matt. 24:21.)
      • Dan. 11:36, “He (antichrist) will be successful until the time of wrath is completed”
  • The Truth on God’s Wrath
    • Ps.38:1-3, “O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath. For your arrows have pierced me, and your hand has come down upon me. Because of your wrath there is no health in my body; my bones have no soundness because of my sin.”
    • See Acts 5:1-11, 1 Cor. 11:29-31, OT Saints
  • I.God’s Wrath Effects Christians: Due to our individual sins. II.God’s Tribulation Wrath Directed Against Unsaved
  • Fallacy #3
    • The pre-tribulation rapture has been accepted as doctrine by most believers throughout the centuries.
  • Truth #3
    • Anglican minister John Darby in 1870’s was the first to introduce the pre-tribulation rapture.
    • Darby doctrine in Scofield’s Bible study notes accepted by seminary students, though initially rejected as heresy by all seminaries.
  • Truth#3 con’t
    • Martin Luther, Charles Spurgeon, Jonathan Edwards, John Wesley, William Tyndale, and George Whitefield had a different doctrine on the rapture.
    • Barnabus, Clement, Justin Martyr and the ancients all had similar and opposing views.
    • Council of Nicea 325 A.D.
    • Thread through orthodox church history of a rapture near the end of tribulation. Should we discount 1800 years of church doctrine?
  • Fallacy #4
    • The church is silent in Revelation chapters 4-19 because the rapture has occurred.
    • Rev. 4:3 John is told “Come up here” is when the rapture takes place.
    • Similar terminology to “come” for visions to be revealed are seen in Rev. 17:1, 21:9 and 22:17.
  • Truth #4
    • The 7 Churches are indeed mentioned specifically by name in Rev. 2:1-3:22, but thereafter The Church is addressed collectively as “saints”, “great multitude”, “rest of her offspring and in symbolism.
    • Rev. 7:9+13, 9:4, 11:15-18, 12:17, 13:7+9-10, 14:12, 15:2, 17:6, and 19:11-17 believers addressed as one body, as redundant to mention individually.
  • Churches Are Present
    • Rev. 22:16, “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches .”
    • Rev. 1:3, “ Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take it to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.”
    • Why are churches mentioned if contingent from each not to be there in Tribulation?
  • End Time Church Inferences
    • Rev. 2:5b, “If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand.”
    • Rev. 2:16, “Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come and fight against them with the sword of my mouth. ” (See Rev. 19:21.)
    • Rev. 2:28, “I will also give him the morning star .” (See Rev. 22:16b.)
    • Rev. 3:3b, “But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief in the night , and you will not know at what time I will come to you”.
    • Rev. 3:10-11a, “Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live in it. I am coming soon .”
    • Rev. 3:20, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock . If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will eat with him.”
  • 2 nd Coming at 6 th Seal
    • Rev. 6:12-17, “I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island
    • was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, ‘ Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of his wrath has come and who can stand?’”
  • 6 th Seal Symbolism
    • Matt. 25:31, “When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory.”
    • Isaiah 2:19, “Men will flee to caves in the rocks and to holes in the ground from the dread of the Lord and the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.”
  • 6 th Seal/2 nd Coming Terminology
    • Mal. 3:2, “But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears?”
    • Isaiah 34:4, “all the starry host will fall like withered figs from a fig tree.”
    • Joel 2:31, “The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord?”
  • 7 th Trumpet Coming/Rapture
    • Rev. 10:6-7 with 7 th angel and mystery of complete and the end of time for this age.
    • Rev. 11:18, “The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever”
  • 7 th Trumpet con’t
    • Rev. 11:18, “The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great and for destroying those who destroy the earth.” (See Rev. 11:14-3 rd Woe which occurs at 6 th seal and 7 th trumpet.)
  • Bowl Judgment Timing
    • “Flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and an earthquake”
    • Rev. 8:5 within 7 th Seal Judgment.
    • Rev. 11:19 after the 7 th Trumpet Judgment.
    • Rev. 16:18 in conjunction with “great hailstorm” at the 7 th Bowl Judgment.
    • Rev. 8:3-5, “Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightening and an earthquake.” (Within 7 th Seal- Rev. 8:1.)
  • Rev. 11:19-7 th Trumpet
    • “Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightening, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm .”
    • Rev. 16:17-21,“The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, ‘It is done!’ Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. From the sky huge hailstones …
  • Bowl Timing After Rapture
    • Rev. 21:9-10, “One of the seven angels that had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me. ‘Come, I will show you the bride , the wife of the Lamb’ . And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God.” (Raptured Church)
  • Tribulation Puzzle
    • Dan. 12:11. 1,290 days from the abomination of desolation to the end.
    • Rev. 11:2-3. Holy City trampled 42 months or 1,260 days. Two witnesses for 1,260 days.
    • Rev. 13:5. Beast authority 42 months.
    • Dan. 8:13-14. 2,300 mornings/evenings.
  • Last Days Time Table
    • (please insert time-table at the end of my book).
  • Is America Prepared?
    • 90% or more believe the pre-tribulation rapture.
    • 200-year paradigm free of persecution.
    • Resulting church compromise.
    • Measure any parameter of immorality and the professing Christian is shamed.
    • Many counterfeit Christians ready for the “great falling away” after persecution.
    • 1 John 2:18-19, “Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have already heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know that it is the last hour. They went out from among us but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained in us, but their going showed that none of them had belonged to us”. (The Great Falling Away.)
  • Apostasy in Last Days
    • Amos 8:11- Famine of hearing the word of God.
    • 2 Timothy 3:1-5-Terrible times, having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof. “Have nothing to do with them”.
    • 2 Timothy 4:3-4-Men will not put up with sound doctrine.
    • 2Thess. 2:9-12-Lawless one/signs/miracles.
  • Even the Elect Deceived
    • Matt. 24:24, “For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive the elect-if that were possible.
    • Dan. 8:10, “It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to earth and trampled on them.” (tsbaah-mass of persons, mirmac- trample under foot to abasement/corruption)
    • Most of the elect in American are deceived about rapture of the church and “end times”.
    • The deception is not surprising considering only 16% read their Bibles daily, 5% have a biblical world view, 26-41% attended church last week, and divorce rates of “born again” Christians 4% higher(Gallop/Barna).
    • Most in America have a superficial Christianity that is not associated with repentance and Lordship of Jesus Christ-as evident in morality studies; atheists are even more moral.
  • What should we do?
    • Repent, which means to turn away from our idols in the pursuit of pleasures/materialism.
    • Show your faith in actions of morality and gifts of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, ect).
    • Study God’s Word daily, pray continuously.
    • Witness more, as time is short.
    • Give more to charity as the tribulation saints will have their possessions confiscated anyway.
  • What does Jesus say?
    • Matt. 24:17-23, “Flee to the mountains”.
    • Matt. 10:22-24, “when they persecute you from one place flee to another”
    • Rev. 18:4, “Come out of her my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues”.
    • Rev. 13:9-10, “He that has an ear let him hear-if anyone is in captivity into captivity..
  • What Old Testament has to say?
    • 2 Zech.7-11, “Come O Zion! Escape, you who live in the Daughter of Babylon!…
    • Jer. 51:6, “Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed..
    • Prov. 28:12, “When the righteous triumph, there is great elation, but when the wicked rise to power men go into hiding.
    • Ps. 11:1-4a, “In the Lord I take refuge…
  • Commended for their Faith
    • Heb. 11:38-39, “the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground. These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised.”
  • Biblical Examples of calls to flee
    • Gen. 19:16-18. Lot fled to the mountains.
    • Gen. 27:41.Jacob fled Esau.
    • Exodus 2:11. Moses fled to Kidron Valley.
    • 1 Kings 18:3-4. Obadiah hid 100 prophets.
    • 1 Sam. 22-24 th chap. David fled Saul.
    • Matt. 1:18-24. Mary/Joseph to Egypt.
    • 1 Cor. 11:33. Paul fled Damascus in basket.
  • Are we prepared to Flee?
    • Jesus said in Luke 12:35, be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning”.
    • Parable of 10 virgins in Matt. 25:6 all had oil in their lamps, but only 5 had enough.
    • Are your minds prepared for action and do you have the endurance and provisions to survive the tribulation as victors?
  • Most Tribulation Saints Survive
    • The “great multitude” who “come out of the great tribulation” as Rev. 7. No martyrs.
    • Those who are prepared will be blessed doubly (see Rev. 1:3) by knowing the truths about the rapture and end times.
    • Not prepared more likely-compromise and loose eternal reward and endure more hardships in the last days.
  • The Select Martyrs
    • Smyrna. Rev. 2:10. Faithful to death.
    • Rev. 6:9-11. Select number till completion.
    • Rev. 12:11, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death”.
    • Rev. 14:13, “blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on”.
  • Greater Reward for Martyrs
    • Rev. 20:4 as they given authority to judge.
    • Heb. 11:35, “Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection”.
    • Phil. 1:21, “For to me to live is Christ…
    • Matt. 10:39, “Whoever finds his life will loose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it”.
  • My Goal
    • To be the “wise” quoted in Dan. 11:33.
    • To be willing to die for the faith, if called to do so, but to prepare my family otherwise.
    • NO COMPROMISE. Sold out for Christ!
    • I’d rather die knowing that it was my choice through God’s direction, versus ignorant and unprepared, having no other choice but to take “the mark” or be martyred.
  • Are You Ready?
    • Ready for persecution and to die for Christ?
    • Ready to get past the deception and see the end times truths clearly; I challenge you to study intensely for yourself.
    • Consider The End Times Church Deception as a tool to get though the fog.
    • Keep your lamps burning and be ready for the return of OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR!
