Both prescription and non-prescription drug
labels have important information that patients
need to take the drug safely and correctly. Both
types of labels include instructions as to how
much of the drug to take and how often.

3.  All labels print the name of the drug and its
concentration, as well as warnings about potential
side effects, such as drowsiness. Some labels will
caution the patient not to drive or use machinery
without having experienced the effects of the drug.
On an over-the-counter (OTC) label, the name of the
drug and its strength appear under the title “active
ingredient(s).” OTC drugs also print the symptoms
that the medication aims to relieve as well as any
symptoms or side effects that should prompt medical

which the drug is no longer advisable for intake.
