    • Introduction
    • Interview is part of the selection process of your desired job
    • It is important that you perform well regardless of your present and past careers’ track record or academic achievements
    • The following pointers are meant to equip you with valuable knowledge on how to prepare for an interview and conduct yourself during an interview with your prospective employer.
    • Interview Preparation (Part 1)
    • Preparing for any interview is essential. Attending an interview with your prospective employer without a clue about whom you will be meeting or what to say will definitely leave a negative first impression.
    • Ensure your information about the exact interview location and exact time of interview is correct.
Find out whom you are suppose to look for when you arrive at the company and remember the right name and designation of that person.
    • Get your hands on as much information about the company through their website or from search engines or online business directory and you will be amazed at how much information is available.
Go through your own CV or resume again and review facts and dates of your present and past employment.
    • Prepare questions that you would want to ask the interviewer when invited to do so. Interviews are excellent opportunities for you to obtain relevant information that will provide insights of the job you are applying for. Here are the questions you may ask:
May I know what my reporting hierarchy is?
What are the trainings provided if any?
What are the day-to-day responsibilities of this job?
What are the company’s plans for growth in the next five years?
What is the overall structure of the company and how does your department fit the structure?
What are the performance expectations of this position over the first 12 months?
