I pioneered and developed the web presence of the Merola Tile and
Somertile brands using multiple social media platforms, email updates,
and other approaches. I also edited external and internal communications
and collaborated regularly with other departments to create compelling
marketing copy used by major retailers and our company catalog.
My time at this printing company entailed managing multiple projects with quick
turnaround times in a high pressure environment. I provided prompt and
courteous customer service to accommodate rapidly-changing customer needs
while liaising with several departments to ensure the quality of each project.
This trailblazing magazine for disabled urban youth aorded me the opportunity
to conduct several virtual and in-person interviews with disabled youth and
student outreach organizations. As assistant editor, I edited dozens of articles and
provided direction for writers having trouble with leads, interviews, or articles. I also
wrote the cover story for the Fall 2013 edition.
