  3. 3. John Gokongwei Jr. Biography<br />THE EARLY YEARS: 1927-1940<br /><ul><li>John Gokongwei Jr. was born on August 11, 1926 in Gulangyu, Xiamen, in Fujian Province , China. His parents are Juanita Marquez Lim and John Gokongwei Sr. He’s the eldest among six children.
