The Coral Triangle

The Coral Triangle is the global centre of marine biodiversity:

it holds 75% of the world’s coral species 6 of the world's 7 marine turtle species 3,000 marine fish species

it is composed of a 6-million km2 ecosystem spanning Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and the Solomon Islands

this region fuels economies and supports the livelihoods of more than 100 million people.

this beautiful and unique area is threated by deforestation, climate change and unsustainable fishing practices
