Sri Arvind Kejriwal
Honorable Chief Minister
NCT of Delhi
Subject: Water Issue of Dwarka Sub-City (4 Lakh Population)
Respected Sir,
Greetings from Residents of Dwarka.
Warm Welcome and Many Congratulations on becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi.
Dwarka Forum associated with 355 RWA/CGHS/MTA and other organisation of Dwarka
Sub-City.
We are writing to you with a very special request on the issue of water, which is the
first agenda point that you are currently looking into.
As you may be aware till date Dwarka Sub-city does not get water supply through pipe,
but, instead by Water Tankers in-spite of the fact that over 1,000 crore water supply
infrastructure laid by DDA.
We would like to draw your attention on the move of your Government to give 700 ltrs of free
water to people of Delhi. It is understood that the residents of Dwarka will not get any
benefit of this, as the water supply is being done by DDA for Dwarka and despite our/DDA
best efforts, DJB has so far not taken any interest in taking over the water supply of Dwarka.
Also note that all the CGHS apartments in Dwarka have Single meter bulk connection. We
have had several round of meetings with DJB and with Former CM. Various representations
have also been given to the Ex-CEO, Ms Debashree Mukherjee, DJB and to Former Chief
Minister, Mrs Shiela Dikshit. We request your good self to pay attention on the subject
immediately.
We would also like to inform you that we had invited the AAP candidate representing Matiala
Constituency, Mr Gulab Singh Yadav for an open debate/discussion before the elections along
with the BJP and the UPA candidates who shared the dais, one and only such common
platform in Delhi. We gave a detailed presentation on the requirement of Dwarka Sub-city

HR govt not given permission till date to build a RAW water Pump house offtake connection
at Munak canal. If Haryana not giving water inspite of payment why not Delhi Govt stop
further extension of Metro to Haryana ?
In an RTI Reply Hayrana Govt (Irrigation ) , SE of Kaithal informed that RECORDS are not
traceable about payment given by Delhi govt and work on Munak Canal.
A 996 LIG flats in HASTAL get 1,25,000 Gallon (568 KL)Water. 288 SFS flat in Rajouri
Garden 80,000 (363 KL) gallon per day. While a 250 flat in Dwarka get 750 KL per
month (ie. 1,64,250 Gallon) (24 Gallon day ?) that too highly toxic ground water which
DDA takes from Najafgarh Drain.
Current supply of DJB to DDA to Command Tank –II is able to cater only 30% of its CT
area. CT-II water diverted to CT-III and IV. CT- I is not commissioned till date due non
supply of water by DJB. 54 Tube wells are installed along Najafgarh NALLAH to supply
water for Dwarkites. As per 22/12/2009 Meeting.
