business. Many customers become acquainted with both the product line and the business
opportunity through this one product segement. The effective marketing of this product segment is
one of the keys to your success as an AdvoCare® distributor. One of the greatest tools at your
disposal is the online social community of Facebook. When used correctly Facebook can become a
powerful marketing engine for your business. Here are a few simple steps that can maximize the
effectiveness of this powerful online community.
Facebook is a social networking site that boasts a membership of over 500 million users. It is
estimated that nearly one half of those users access their accounts at least once per day. For anyone
looking to build their AdvoCare® business, this creates an ideal point of high visibility for their
marketing efforts.

You will want to begin by carefully crafting your personal profile. At the very minimum, be sure to
include a link to your distributor website and identify your profession as a business owner in the
weight loss field. Your profile needs to reflect your value in the marketplace, since those you will be
inviting to connect with you will typically take a look at your profile when determining whether or
not to approve that connection.

Next you will want to make connections with people in your target market. A great way to
accomplish this task is to search for Facebook groups that are focused on such topics as weight loss,
dieting, diet and exercise and nutrition. Join these groups and begin interacting in the group
discussions. Resist the urge to make pitches and post links to your AdvoCare® weight loss
products. Instead you want to provide insights into such things as the importance of nutrition,

tips and success stories. Send a group invitation to those who have become your friends on
Facebook. Ask them to submit their stories, photographs and other valuable content. The key to

Here is the place that you can really begin to add value to your marketing efforts. Create small video
pieces that are no more than 3-4 minutes in length to highlight a highlight a topic of interest. For
example you might do a video that discusses the importance of monitoring a person's carbohydrate

your own story and the story of other AdvoCare® customers and distributors.

The creation of a fan page will be your final step. The focus of your fan page will be you and your

displays on their wall. Use your fan page to highlight a specific product each week and testimonials
about that product. You will also use the fan page to invite people to take a closer look at the
