By-Lions September 2012 2012 - 2013 President Secretary ya Greg Lynch Terry Liller KatThere have been lots of activities for the Keyser Lions and there are plenty of upcoming eventsfor a busy fall and winter.Our second meeting of August on the 16th was held in Burlington at the Flying "W” Restaurantat 6:00pm. Our speaker was Allan Biser of Team Biser Whitetails. After a fine meal and goodconversation, club members drove across the road and took a tour of the Team Biser Whitetailsoperation. Thank you to Lion Greg Lynch for arranging another informative presentation. Youcan see photos from the event on the Keyser Lions Facebook page(http://www.facebook.com/#!/keyser.lions)By the time you read this we will have held our first meeting of September. This will be our an-nual picnic at the West End Park.Our second meeting of September - on the 20th - will be a special event as well. We will meetat Potomac State at 5:00 pm – not 6:30. After our meal and a brief meeting we will travel to thetop of Green Mountain to visit the windmill farm. Gary Wilson will be our host and tour guidefor this unique opportunity. Don’t forget to come out early and bring a coat suitable for the topof the mountain!Here are a few other upcoming events that should be of interest to the Keyser Lions:The Annual District 29-I Fall Conference will be held in Blackwater Falls on 19-20 October2012. Registration forms are due by October 5th. If you plan on attending and staying the nightyou will need to make your own lodging reservations as the deadline has passed for the re-served block of rooms. Lion Greg Lynch has indicated that he would like to see a good turnoutfrom our club for this event because it is so close to Keyser. You can find the registration formfor this conference on the District Governor’s website (http://wvlions29i.blogspot.com/). Wewill also have copies available at the September 20th meeting.The 17th Annual West Virginia Leadership School will be taking place at Flatwoods Days Hotelfrom January 25-27th, 2013.
