I gave a talk at WordCamp Montreal 2013, about PressBooks, and what we've done to WordPress. We also built a book (with "dontated" blog posts from session participants) during the presentation, and published it in PDF, EPUB and MOBI before the session was over.

  12. 12. So: - Plugin available on Github - NOT available in the WP plugin directory - Requires fresh install of WP Multisite - dependencies include: * KindleGen (creates Kindle files) * Prince XML (creates PDFs) (Expensive!) ... PressBooks.com is the best place to start
  13. 13. Coming soon: * formal SaaS pricing * connection to Print on Demand service * connection to Distribution service (ie. get your books into Amazon, iBooks, Kobo etc). * sell your book directly from PressBooks * import of .docx * sundry improvements
