International Cars and Motors Ltd (ICML) is all set to debut the World Car in collaboration with the Italy-based Pininfarnia. Pininfarina is a car design firm from Italy. The Sonalika group hopes to continue its success streak with the launch of World Car by 2010. The car will carry a Sonalika signature with the Pininfarina's logo alongside. Mitsubishi India will replace the older Pajero with the Mitsubishi Triton pick up based Pajero Sport. The Pajero Sport will feature a 140 PS diesel engine and a 4 wheel drive system. The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will feature advance safety technologies like ABS and EBD. The Pajero Sport will come as a 7 seater with 3 rows of seats and the front seatbacks can recline completely to provide a flat surface together with the rear seats.
The Hyundai Santa Fe is the latest attempt made by Hyundai to scorch the fast-growing SUV market in India. In India, the car will be introduced with a 2.2-litre diesel engine that will generate 151 bhp and a 2.7-litre petrol engine that will churn out 190 bhp. The exterior of the car will be adorned with slanting headlamps and tail lamps, the flowing waistline, and flared wheel arches. The interior of the car will be beautified with high quality materials and finest technologies.

Emerging from the alliance of Renault and Nissan, the Juke Crossover comes with radical looks. The Juke is a crossover which will try to attract young customers with its tough and macho stance. It has the manoeuvrability of an SUV and the expert agility of a hatchback, which makes it a good bet for urban driving. Nissan would likely launch this car with a 1.5 liter Dci diesel engine. The Crossover will be offered in 4WD-I Torque Vectoring System which can split power in 50:50 ratio from front-to-rear as well as side-to-side. Nissan will keep the Indian version quite similar to that of the international one.
Built on the Logan platform, the Renault Duster SUV has the potential to do well in the Indian market. The tough, reliable, easy-to-use 4x4 Duster is well suited for both city driving and off-roading. The Renault Duster will come with 'smart' four-wheel-drive with multiple options for driving modes. The Duster will be available with a wide array of 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines and will feature safety equipment like ABS, EBD and multiple airbags. Duster will appeal to Indian customers who look for a conventional SUV.
Renault is finally going solo in India and will launch the crossover Koleos. It has the ideal combination of comfort of a sedan and the off-roading strength of an SUV. The Renault Koleos will be equipped with a 2.0 dCi Euro-4 diesel engine with power outputs of 175 bhp. It features advance diesel engine technologies, including Piezo-electric injectors, common-rail 1600-bar fuel injection and a water-cooled variable-geometry turbo. The Koleos Crossover will come in options of 4x2 or 4x4 versions and mated with either a six-speed manual gearbox or six-speed automatic. The Koleos crossover is built at the Renault Samsung Motor plant in South Korea for various markets.
The Skoda Fabia Scout will join the best off-roaders in India with its powerful engine options. The car is likely to come in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant of the car will be powered by a 1.4-litre engine that will generate 85 bhp whereas the diesel variant of the car will have a choice of 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre engines that will generate 80 bhp and 105 bhp, respectively. The Fabia Scout will have a uniquely shaped bumper and plastic cladding to give a robust and aggressive look to the car.
The Tata Indicruz has been renamed Tata Aria and Tata Motors like to call this cross-over as the four-wheeler built for Indians by Indian engineers. It is a 7-seater and will feature the latest 2.2 liter Dicor engine. The engine can deliver 140 bhp with maximum torque of 320 Nm. The powerful engine will hopefully endow the Aria with energetic acceleration and modest cruising speeds. Tata Aria will be the world's first utility vehicle to feature the all wheel drive option, ABS, EBD, six SRS Airbags and Traction control with Cruise control. The huge, beefy looking Aria is sure to pose an imposing look on the Indian roads. The Aria sports large headlamps, a large chrome-finished front grille and a massive front bumper with huge airdam bordered by round front fog lamps on both sides. On the whole, the Aria is a very well proportioned package.
The Rocktan crossover will be built on the Maruti Suzuki SX4 platform. The mini SUV will be equipped with a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine and a 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. Volkswagen Rocktan will also compete with models like the Nissan Juke and the Toyota Urban Cruiser. The Rocktan will fill the gap between CrossPolo and the Tiguan in VW's range.
