A drink for work, play or relaxation

  1. 1. A Drink for Work, Play or Relaxation We can thank East India Tea Company for introducing tea to Britain in the 17th century. Tea has become a favorite drink of many countries and still remains a favorite of Britain. It is said in recent reports that an incredible 165 million cups of tea are drank daily in Britain! Without a doubt, tea drinking is routed deep in British history and culture.
  2. 2. Ice tea is an all time summertime favorite drink. Tea can be mixed with Amaretto almond liqueur for a refreshing drink or perhaps you prefer a punch called Artillery Punch recipe with added rye whiskey, red wine, Jamaican dark rum, brandy and Benedictine herbal liqueur, orange juice and lemon. Many people like hot tea with peppermint, lemons, blueberry, raspberry or plain cup of tea.
  3. 3. Green tea is a popular drink used for losing weight. It has also been reported people who drank green tea lowered their chances of heart disease. Researchers believe green tea increases the metabolism. In a study it was found green tea extract also helped to lower LDL "bad" cholesterol. Before going on any new diet be sure to consult your professional medical practitioner. Green tea is said to have antioxidants aiding in slowing down of degenerative diseases. Green tea extract is noted for helping to prevent cancer, helps your heart, it contains fluoride and other minerals aiding in fighting cavities.
  4. 4. Anna, Duchess of Bedford is credited for starting women to drink tea in the afternoons in the 19th century. Anna introduced what has widely become known as afternoon tea. Looking back at this era, people generally only ate two meals a day. It was down to a regular feeling of fatigue that one day Anna requested sandwiches, cakes and tea in the mid-afternoon; a trend that soon caught on. Afternoon tea traditionally begins with something savory, such as sandwiches, followed by scones accompanied with jam and cream, and then a selection of cakes. These delectable are spread over luxurious three tier stands and supped down with lavish cups of exquisite teas. This tradition has proved as resilient as the beverage itself, with its longevity not purely down to the food.
  5. 5. UK has over 1500 different teas available to purchase, each with their own unique style, taste and color. Some of the most popular flavors are Earl Grey, Assam Black, Darjeeling and Chamomile. Tea is usually taken with milk and sweetened with sugar if desired. http://herbcafe.co/, http://winecheesenspice.com/, http://chocolatecandyncoffee.com/ Tags
