    A Student’s Responsibilities:
    • Complete assigned work on time
    • 4. Follow class rules and school policies
    • 5. Pay attention in class
    • 6. Do not distract others
    • 7. Treat others, and the possessions of others, with respect
    • 8. Practice good study habits
    • 9. Take responsibility for your own success
    • 10. Participate in class activities
    • 11. Come to class prepared and on time

    The Caregiver
    (Your mom, dad, guardian, or babysitter)
    A Caregiver’s Responsibilities:
    • Help the student find a quiet place to do schoolwork
    • 12. Take an active interest in the student’s school success – ask questions!!
    • 13. Inform the teacher of issues that may affect the student’s performance
    • 14. Make sure that the student has adequate sleep and nutrition to get through each day
    • 15. Make sure that the student has the necessary supplies for class
    • 16. Make sure that the student has time outside of school to complete assignments
    • 17. Attend parent-teacher conferences and other important school activities

    A Teacher’s Responsibilities:
    • Be prepared for class every day
    • 18. Communicate clear learning objectives
    • 19. Encourage and support individual student learning
    • 20. Assign relevant homework
    • 21. Maintain a safe, calm, respectful, inviting classroom
    • 22. Enforce class rules
    • 23. Assign grades fairly and in a timely manner
    • 24. Make time for students who ask for, or need, extra help
    • 25. Make learning as fun as possible
  • What Does All of This Mean?The triangle of success is a partnership betweenthe student, the caregiver, and the teacher, and exists for the purpose of achieving a shared goal. In short, it is a big part of the recipe for student success.
