Eggs were popular as a health food about 20 years ago, then we became concerned about cholesterol and fat, so we stopped eating whole eggs and switched to egg whites only.<br />Whole eggs are back on the menu! Yolks and all! Egg yolks are one of the best nutrient dense foods you can eat as far as minerals, vitamins and trace nutrients. If you eat only the egg whites, you’ll miss out on all sorts of excellent nutrition.<br />
  • 5. Yes, egg yolks have fat and cholesterol. But most people have been totally wrong about the cholesterol in eggs! Egg yolks actually raise your cholesterol – your GOOD cholesterol! You want your good cholesterol levels to go up! Egg yolks help to do that!<br />Because eggs are high in protein, you will feel full faster by eating them. High protein foods help to trigger the “full” feeling when you’re eating – especially if you take your time instead of stuffing yourself as fast as you can.<br />
  • 6. Hint: Eggs aren’t a problem in your diet – it’s what you eat with your eggs! Bacon, sausage, extra salt, or cheese or butter add nothing helpful to your eggs, so use them sparingly!<br />Don’t be afraid of eggs anymore. Enjoy them.<br />

As long as its grass-fed beef.<br />Most beef that you buy in the grocery store is grain-fed beef raised in a “beef factory” farm. This type of cattle is usually in poor health, has lower nutritional value and has omega-3 and omega-6 fat ratios that are way out of balance. Not healthy for you at all.<br />
  • 10. Choose grass fed beef instead of grain fed. Grass fed cattle have higher levels of the healthy omega-3 fatty acid and lower levels of omega-6 – which is OK since most people get too much omega-6 and not enough omega-3.<br />Grass fed cattle also have higher levels of vitamins and minerals and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) – which is a healthy fat known to help burn fat and build muscle.<br />
  • 11. If you are a meat lover, then this is some of the best news you’ve heard because almost everyone will tell you that you have to stop eating beef in order to burn fat.
