  2. 2. Thesis  Everyone is from different parts of the world with different taste for different type of food. Curry chicken is a dish that has been recreated throughout many different countries. In my country Jamaica we use different homegrown spices and fresh meat. I am going present to you the way in which many Jamaicans cook curry chicken.
  3. 3. Curry Chicken
  4. 4. Tools  Sharp Knife  Cutting Board  3 Pots  Mixing bowl  3 Storage Containers  Potatoes Peeler  Potato Masher
  5. 5. Ingredients  Pack of Chicken breast  Curry Powder  Onion/Garlic Powder  Complete Seasoning  Garlic  Thyme  Green Onion  Rice  Butter  Salt
  6. 6. Ingredients Contin.  Potatoes  Parsley  Onions  American Cheese (Yellow)  Black Pepper
  7. 7. Cutting Meat
  8. 8.  1 Onion cut in half then julienne 1/8 inch  2 green onion sliced into 3/8 slices  Add 1 Tablespoon of each seasoning  2 Tablespoon of Curry  1 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
  9. 9.  Wash Rice  Add 12 cups Water to put pot with 2 Teaspoon of salt  4 Teaspoon of butter  Add rice and slowly cook and stir occasionally
  10. 10.  In another put add 2 Tablespoon of Oil to pan and let heat  Add chicken and all ingredients to heated pan  Stir for 10 min while allowing to cook as well.  After 10 min turn down down heat to medium and let cook
  11. 11.  Add water to pot and let heat  Start peeling Poatoes (about 12)  Cut into chunks  Add Teaspoon of salt  Place chunks into the pot and let cook  15min
  12. 12. Check on Everything  Rice – Stir until water sits right above the almost cooked rice  Cover with lip and turn heat to low  15 min  Chicken – Stir chicken and add 1 cup of water  Potato – Check to see if Potatoes have soften
  13. 13. First Container  2 Slices of American Cheese  4 Tablespoon of butter (Add More if needed)  1 Teaspoon of Complete Seasoniong  2 Ounces of Milk (Of your choice)
  14. 14. Second Container  Store rice  Ounce 15 min are up rice must be soften  Use a fork to transfer into container  Cover to contain heat
  15. 15. Garnish  Chop parsley very fine  Chop 1 green onion on the bias
  16. 16. Third Container  Chicken – Taste test  Once chicken has cooked transfer into container
  17. 17. Garnish Items  Potatoes – Parsley  Chicken – Green onions/ Parsley  Rice – Parsley
  18. 18. Plantains  Use same Pan as used for chicken  Add 3 ounces of oil and allow to heat
  19. 19.  Peel Plantains and cut on bias  Place 6-8 pices in the pan at a time  Cook until golden brown on one side  Flip and vis versa  Transfer onto plate with paper towel to soak up the remaining oil
  20. 20. There’s your meal.  3 containers  1 containing curry chicken  1 containing white rice  1 containing mash potatoes  1 plate containing friend plantains
