  • We will Track Who is attending what class
  • We will track the hours of each attendee so that they can receive their PD credits.
  • We will provide a full schedule of available classes and times. There will be a general calendar of IEN & Webinar classes, and there will be district specific calendars as well.
  • How will the classes be delivered?
  • Our primary means of class delivery will be the IEN wherever possible.
  • Our secondary means of program delivery will be in a “webinar” format.
  • Our final means of program delivery will be in a face to face format utilizing your local people.
  • For our technology specific classes Vendors will be our primary source for training.
  • ISU Staff may be comprised of ISU people, or other teachers from around the state that have areas of expertise in specific content areas.
  • We will also be searching for teachers on a national level that can provide “best practices” training.
  • Staff will work on areas that they fill comfortable with. We are looking for those that are technology adapters & innovators
  • The curriculum will be provided for the ISTE Classes. For the customized classes there may be curriculum provided, and some may have to be developed.
  • Pay rate will be $25 per instruction hour.
  • So what are the time frames for the program?
  • Arlen will be contacting each of you individually to determine when the appropriate time for your district to start will be.
  • We will begin loading class schedules onto the IEN calendar as we complete the interviews with the individual districts.
  • There will be a set of regularly scheduled class times from 4-6 & from 6-8 as well as some custom times for districts that may require special times.

  • Currently the ISTE classes that we are scheduling are the standard – Microsoft Products, some Adobe produts. We will be expanding these offerings during the upcoming weeks to make sure that we have a full range of classes that can be utilized.
  • Phase III classes are those classes that compliment existing software & skills, or explore new methods or best practices. These classes can be offered to not only the district, but the community as well.
  • In order for a class to be approved the following steps are necessary.
