  6. 6. My work in Atac• From 2000th, I work in ATAC and my responsibilities are the management of the Company GIS, the development and the management of the Infomobility platform.• In detail I am in charge of the design, creation and updating of the ATACs Geographic Information System; design and creation of web and wireless applications for dissemination of information; updating of the road network maps, including field activities and measurements; development of Environmental Impact Assessment procedures; research activities on GIS with the University of Rome.• Management of map services through the Internet (http://www.atac.roma.it/), internet mobile (http://wimove.uni.it) and Call Center (06570003). Esri EMEA UC October 26-28, 2010 Rome
  7. 7. ATAC GIS experience• The territorial information system (SIT) was implemented in ATAC in the year 2000. The system incorporates and integrates in the same data base all the information on mobility, both public and private, related to the municipality of Rome. The SIT was actually designed to properly support decisions making for mobility in the exceptional complexity of the Roman scenario.• All the divisions and units of ATAC take advantage of the SIT which is the unique software platform for all the systems managing territorial information (eg. the satellite control system for the vehicles AVM). Furthermore the SIT is the main tool used to deliver information also in real time to the public (eg. Web site services, find your bus, contact centre, route calculation).• All the information concerning a territorial aspect is recorded and continuously updated within the SIT itself. Not only the infrastructures but also mobility events are linked to the territory and therefore potentially referable to a geo-referenced map. Esri EMEA UC October 26-28, 2010 Rome

Esri EMEA UC October 26-28, 2010 Rome
  12. 12. CONSIT principal featureIn details CONSIT allows the following:• Querying geographical and alphanumeric routes and schedules of bus and tram lines;• Preparing files for printing schedules and routes of bus and tram lines;• Querying the following main geographic information: 1. bus, tramway, metro and trolleybus and two regional railway lines and relevant time schedules; 2. Ticket sales point and automatic sales machine locations; 3. On-street Parkings and P&R areas; 4. Traffic Lights and lamps for pedestrian crossings; 5. ATAC depots and infrastructure; 6.
