Scoping Digital Repository Services for Research Data Management Funded by the OUP John Fell Fund From January 2008 to March 2009 Aiming to scope the requirements for digital repository service to store, disseminate and preserve research data generated at Oxford. • Interviews with researchers – Around 40 semi-structured interviews – To capture requirements and understand their workflows – Part of the Oxford case study work for the UKRDS feasibility study • Consultation with service units – To identify gaps in service provision Implementation of DAF - Progress and Sustainability 9 June 2009

DISC-UK DataShare and the DAF in Oxford To pilot the Data Audit Framework (DAF) and share the experiences with the rest of the JISC community. • Stage 1: Built on previous requirements gathering – Identify two research groups • Young Lives Project (YLP) • Cardiac Mechano-Electric Feedback Group (CMEFG) – Identify data resources freely available on the Oxford University web pages. • Stage 2 and 3: Work primarily with data managers – Interviews and further meetings – Send an audit form to contact in CMEFG department – Data Manager from YLP shared ESRC data management report for future data collections – Use DAF register to collect information about data resources on the Oxford University website.
