  2. 2. HOW DID WE ATTRACT OUR AUDIENCE? When conducting our research we found out that our audience ranged from 15 to 1 8 year s old. This helped us because it let us find and create the right content and adver tisement to attract our audience. We used many sur veys and questionnaires to see what our audience liked and disliked. Also, because we knew most of our audience were aged from 15 to 1 8, we could find methods to attract our audience that are most commonly favoured by that age range. These include social networking sites like Twitter or Facebook . Also YouTube where we can tempt our audience to view things such as trailer s of our film.
  3. 3. Responding to our questionnaire results we decided to have our location in a city. Also because this is a common code and convention of a thriller it will attract audiences who have seen thrillers also located in cities. Inspiration from Casino Royale.

MAIN CHARATER Female Male FEMALE Inspiration – Uma Thurman from Kill Bill Even though the main role in thrillers are usually male, our researched target audience wanted a female character, so therefore by listening to their response from our questionnaire we can attract them to watch our thriller. By challenging the code and conventions and having a female role for a thriller we will attract audiences looking for a new refreshing twist on a thriller.
  5. 5. PROPS A gun is the most popular prop used in thrillers, so it was expected to receive these results from our questionnaire. We used guns to appeal to viewers and audiences who enjoy thrillers, so that they would want to watch our thriller and it would appeal to them. Inspiration from Sin City - Jackie boy holding gun.

YOUTUBE With YouTube being one of the most popular websites for our target audience, it was useful that we could upload our thriller opening for public viewing so that they can have a taster of our thriller. We can attract different types of audiences along with our target audience and also receive feedback of what they thought, therefore we can improve it so that our audiences are pleased. We posted it on YouTube because it is open for to the public and therefore anyone can view it.
  7. 7. SOCIAL NETWORK Due to our audience age range being very popular with social network sites, it was ideal to create a peak production twitter page. This way people can check for updates about our film and follow our progress. They can also retweet and spread our film around attracting other members of public. And by putting our film and link on Peak Productions social network site we can advertise and attract viewers of all types to watch our film straight away.

  9. 9. TO CONCLUDE THERE ARE MANY WAYS IN WHICH WE CAN ATTRACT OUR AUDIENCE. AND BY LOOKING AT WHAT THEY WANT FROM A THRILLER WE CAN CREATE, TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITIES A PERFECT FILM FOR OUR TARGET AUDIENCE.
