  • 1. Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students)
  • 2. Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology Moodle Series: Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students) After logging in to Moodle, click on the course in which you want to send an email using Quickmail. In this case, we click on Demo Course.
  • 3. Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology Moodle Series: Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students) You can use Quickmail to send emails, with or without attachments, to individual course participants or to all course participants at once.
  • 4. Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology Moodle Series: Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students) Click on Compose in the Quickmail block to start a new email.
  • 5. Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology Moodle Series: Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students) On the Compose page, you can see a recipient list which shows the course participants whom you can send emails to.
  • 6. Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology Moodle Series: Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students) If Group Mode has been enabled by your teacher, the course participants will be arranged according to their groups.
  • 7. Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology Moodle Series: Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students) In this example, Group Mode has not been enabled (i.e. Quickmail is in No group mode).

  • 10. Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology Moodle Series: Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students) If you want to deselect all selected recipients, simply click on Deselect all.

  • 12. Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology Moodle Series: Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students) You can also select individual course participants by checking the boxes next to their names. In this case, STUDENT02, STUDENT04 and STUDENT06 are selected.

  • 16. Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology Moodle Series: Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students) To add an attachment to the email, click on the Browse... button to choose the file to be attached to the email from your computer.

Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology Moodle Series: Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students) Please note that although Quickmail automatically saves a copy of an email in the History archive after sending it out, attachments of the email will not saved.You should therefore include your email in the recipient list so that you can keep a copy of the email as well as its attachments at your HKIEd email account.
  • 19. Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology Moodle Series: Sending Emails Using Quickmail (For Students) Finally, click on the Send Email button at the bottom of the page to finish.
