Leadership and collegiality are currently two of the key concerns in Scottish Education. In some establishments the concepts have an easy interface but in many they are seen as representing conflicting approaches. Leadership as a concept, of course, applies in a number of school scenarios and there is some consensus as to what constitutes effective leadership.
