10 WISHES FOR LIBRARY
SERVICE IN LTLS FOR 2008

That LTLS would get an increase in
state funding in order to add more
delivery service and enhance
consulting.

By December 31, 2008 that all LTLS
member libraries would have an
active Web Site.

That LTLS could get sufficient grant
funds to get more libraries
automated with LINC.

That patron-initiated ILL using OCLC
would be the standard operating
practice for all libraries.

That all LTLS libraries would become
members and participate in Polytalk.

That every staff member of LTLS and
LTLS member libraries could attend
at least 10 hours of education or
training in 2008.

That library construction could be
designed and implemented as Green
Construction.

That all LTLS libraries would offer
customers public computer access
and have a minimum of one T-1
dedicated to library service.

That library funding would at a
minimum keep up with inflation.

That LTLS would host a technology
conference that was even more
successful than the conference held
in September 2007.
