  • 9. 10 VOCATIONAL  Specialized Schools and  Colleges    This vocational sector of education grants  certificates of completion or Associate’s of Arts  degrees.    Many programs are health, medical, business, or  technical oriented in nature.    Financial aid programs as well as job placement  assistance are offered.     Of these institutions, 14 out of 3,000 are WASC  accredited. 
  • 10. 11  Approximate Annual Fees   and Tuition  A new car lasts 5 years; an education lasts a lifetime.
  • 11. Public Institutes    Public colleges are those that are largely supported  by state funds.     If you attend a public institution in your own state    Cheaper Tuition    Easier to be Admitted    CSUN, UCLA 
  • 12. Private Colleges    Private colleges, on the other hand, are supported  by tuition, endowment, and donations from alumni  and friends.     Usually More Expensive    Usually offer the best financial aid packages    USC, Pepperdine

CSU    23 Campuses in California    If you are a student and you plan on taking more  than 6 units your cost is 4,026 per academic year    If you are a student and you plan on taking less than  6 units your cost is $2,712  per academic year    Extra Fees determined by each campus (Examples Below)    Room and Board    Health Fees    Student Service

Community College Cost    An enrollment fee is charged to every student who takes  courses for credit.     The current fee charged to state residents is $20 per unit.     A full time student enrolled for 12 units for 2 semesters  would currently pay $480 per year in enrollment fees.     Additional Expenses include     Books     Supplies    Housing     Food
