    Gorillas are huge.
    Females stand up to 1.2 m tall.
    Females stand up to 3.9 feet tall.
    They stand up to 2 meters.
    Males stand up to 6.6 feet.
    If put in zoo could weigh 100 lb.
    It weighs 400-450 lb in the wild.

    Males weigh up to 440 lb.
    Male weighs as much as 3-4 human grown ups.
    Female weighs 265-287lb.
    Male weighs 2 m.
    Male weighs 200 kg.
    Female weighs 120-130 kg.
    Males weigh 200 kg.

    They are very gentle.
    There called silver backs because when there 11 years old they grow skin on there back.
    The leader of the pack is NOT called the silver back.
    By six months , they are playing with there mother.
    A babies teeth grow in at three.
    The color of its skin is jet black.
    Its ears are hidden behind its fur.

    It has small ears.
    It has two fangs.
    The color of its four head is light brown.
    It has no way of blending in because it doesn’t need to.

    Gorillas live together in large groups.
    Eating is their most important thing every day.
    They are herbivores.
    Gorillas eat roots , bamboo , vines , vegetables , and bark.
    They bite their food off plants and trees.
    They don’t have any preys.
    They don’t drink much water.

    The parents care for their young.
    Young gorillas play a lot.
    When they get older they ride on their mothers back.
    The gorilla stays with its mom till she has one other baby.
  • 10. Habitat
    They live in the rain forest.
    Some gorillas live in mountains.
    It is a wet and worm place.
    There are lots of plants.
    There are three layers.
    The highest is the canopy.
    The next layer is the under story.
    The lowest layer is the forest floor.
  • 11. Closing Paragraph
    The gorilla has some very interesting facts.
    It is endangered and is almost extinct!
    I hope it isn’t extinct.
    Maybe people can help the gorilla and take them to shelter.
