Slide 2: Introduction Definition: Social bookmarking is a way of storing and classifying Internet bookmarks, meant to help Internet users find other sites they might be interested in. Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to store, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on the Internet (Wikipedia).

Slide 3:History  The concept of social bookmarking dates back to April 1996 when tList.com was launched. Followed by web sites like Backflip,  Blink, Clip2, Hotlink and Quiver . The new era begins in 2005-2006.  The first wave: del.icio.us, Furl and  Simpy The second wave Diigo, Netvouz,  Ma.gnolia and Stumble Upon.
