    • InventionsThomas Edison hadmany inventions. Two ofhis most famousinventions were thephonograph and the firstlight bulb.
    • These inventions becameknown across the worldand so did he. But thosewere not the onlyinventions he had he alsohad the motion picturecamera, the stock ticker,and the typewriter.
    • ChildhoodThomas Edison wasborn on February 11,1847. His name at birthwas Thomas AlvaEdison.Thomas was seven whenhis family moved to PortHuron, Michigan. Helived here for a while andstruck out on his own atthe age of 16.
    • Thomas had very littleeducation as a child buthe was home schooled byhis mom.Eventually he taughthimself how to read andhe lived with that the restof his life.
    • WorkingThomas began working atan early age. Most boysstart working that time.He got a job as anewsboy and read a lot.He read so much helearned how to operate atelegraph. When he gotolder he worked as atelegrapher.
    • My heroThomas died on october18 1931 of naturalcauses. Thomas Edisonmade an impact on theworld and today wouldntbe the same with out him.This is why ThomasEdison is my hero. Thething I always remember isthis quote,"Genius is 1% inspirationand 99% perspiration"
