  • Welcome,My name is Patrycja Manning, a graduate students from Gsou. Thank you for having me here today. The purpose of my visit is to more about Web tools 2.0. and how to use them in your learning. Before that, I would like you to complete page 1, the pre-test. The results of any of the assessments are only for my knowledge and will not influence your class grade in any way.
  • There are thousands of Web 2.0 tools available online. You don’t have to be a technically advanced or have the newest technology to use them. All of the tools are online and do not need to download them to your personal computerized device.
  • Depending on the use of the tool, today we will categories the web 2.0 tool into a few important categories:
  • Share Photos from your field tripShare photos of experimentsPost photos from presentationComparison and contrastCreate story boardCompare images of primary and secondary sourcesImages of various cell parts8. Images of new vocabularies
  • Photobucket- a free tool where you can download your own photo, edit them and share.
  • Similarly animoto allows you to create for free a 30 second video. You can use your own images, video or already used templates. Here is a video, I created from my field trip to the San Juan Capistrano Mission in California.
  • A new improved presentations that captures everybody’s attention. You can use for your class presentation, class report, your introduction, country study, explain an experiment you conducted, include steps by step instructions, enhance vocabulary, study guide
  • Prezi I used for my introduction for one of my graduate classes. A fun way allowing others to know you.
  • Voki, particular AVAR is my favorite tool. You can personalize your avatar and record or type messages you want to share with your audience.
  • Community tools are less creative than previous ones; however, they enables us to share our work with other by cooperation.
  • Tagging, a new way of scanning codes with your smart phone and accessing web site of the product. You can find it even on a bubble gum and was invented by the Toyota Auto maker in late 90s
  • Goggle Documents allows many sued write and edit document online. I observe one class that was creating group project on country. Each group member was responsible for one county to analyze.
