(Ref: Sir Monier: William Monier pp 296, 898).  Qasur is the plural of word “Qasar” means Palace. So Qasur means city of Palace, as there were many Palaces (32Palaces) here in Kasur in the Mogul Kingship. And in their name of place and Clan: Kasur was named as Kassara Puthana Kamboja.  In 331 BC Greek conqurer Alexander's military invaded here.  Latter on Kasur was ruled variously by the Maurya, Kushan, Gupta, White Huns, Kushano Hephthalites and Shahi kingdoms. 5. 5. Geniuses of Kasur by Ahmad Ali Kasuri Advocate 15th Edition 5 Gratitude: Thanks to Allah Almighty for His infinite blessings and world-wide fame as an author of various treatises including “Geniuses of Kasur”. Readers of every rank and file, Civil, Judicial and Military Officers as well as the intensive level students to the PhDs’ Doctors and Post- Doctoral learned laureates perused, appraised and applauded it. It is available on internet search engines like www.google.com, www.altavista.com, www.mamma.com, www.ask.com, www.answers.com and also on www.orkut.com, www.facebook.com www.scribd.com, www.slideshare.com . Its glory is witnessed as it is viewed/ downloaded about 35000 times, till date. Many authors of books, thesis and websites had used it for reference. Its diction is in complacency. The online encyclopaedia, www.wikipedia.com has been enjoying literary subscription from it. Some authors have plagiarised material from the book “Geniuses of Kasur”. Although their act is illegal and un-ethical but it is again their confession of their non- competence to research and write of their own. Anyway, it is another attribution to the book “Geniuses of Kasur”, that various websites on Kasur including www.kasur.org have taken material from it. Dr. Shahbaz Malik PhD. Ex. Head of Department, Professor of Emeritus (Punjab University) has told me that he is the big admirer of the “Geniuses of Kasur” and on Raqab Kasuris, literary contribution; he had enormous appraisal and analytical work. In 2012 General Manager PEMRA Pakistan Mr. Javed Iqbal, while surfing on internet had suddenly found this book and studied it. He made telephone call and appreciated the work. He hosted a sitting with me in Islamabad, and there we had discussed the book thoroughly. Brigadier Muhammad Javed Akhtar presently Director ANF Pakistan studied its internet Edition and thrashed the book. He hosted a gala lunch in my honour and we talked the book as well as the Geniuses and the Genesis of Kasur at very considerable length. He had been the Commandant of PMA Pakistan Military Academy Kakool, Abbotabad. And was feeling much honour for him and for other 28 Kasuris on being the Commissioned Officer in the loyal armed forces of Pakistan in 2013. He took interest in publishing the excerpts of this book in Al- Hilal, the official Pakistan Civil-Military Gazetteer. General (R) Muhammad Qayum, Colonel (R) Ahmad Javed, Colonel (R) Khursheed Alam and Colonel Zia Chohan are among those Military Officers who have very laudably accolade the heroic role of the “Geniuses of Kasur”. Ms. Nagina Mukhtar In charge Pakistan Monument (Government of Pakistan, Islamabad), Dr. Shahbaz Malik PhD. Dr. Ambreen Sagheer PhD, Dr. Atta ur Rehman PhD and many other worthy literary laureate Personalities took interest to talk on the “Geniuses of Kasur” and the position of Kasuris in history; particularly in Pakistan Movement.
