  • Los Angeles International Airport, the sixth busiest airport in the world, offers more than 565 daily flights to 81 destinations in the U.S. 1,000 weekly nonstop flights to 65 international destinations.  The Bradley West Project is composed of approximately 1.25 million square feet of new building area, including food/beverage and retail concessions, new premium lounge space, enlarged Federal Inspection/Customs and Border Protection facilities In addition, the new concourses will contain 15 new boarding gates and enlarged passenger seating/holdroom areas sized to accommodate new-generation aircraft such as the Airbus A380 super-jumbo jet and the Boeing B787 Dreamliner.  By 2012, LAX is expected to serve more Airbus A380 flights than any other airport in North America.  
  • Two significant cruise lines will add new voyages out of San Pedro’s Port of Los Angeles in 2011.Disney’s World of Wonder will begin cruises in January.Carnival will begin new service in the fall of 2011.
  • This game will be the 60th edition of the National Basketball Association(NBA) All-Star Gameand will be played during the 2010–11 NBA season. The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers will serve as host as the STAPLES CENTER.NBA All-Star Jam Session being held at the Los Angeles Convetnion Center will feature over 300,000 square feet of NBA All-Star excitement, where the chance to meet & collect FREE autographs from NBA Players & Legends is just the beginning!

  • Los Angeles continues to have more live theater than any other city in the United States.The LA theatre scene brings both first run as well as world premier productions of plays and musical theater.This month, Califonria State University in Northridge will open their new state of the art performing arts center. This new facility will provide both theatrical, dance and orchestral productions in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.
  • In honor of President Reagan’s 100th birthday, the museum will be reopening on February 6th with new gallery exhibits as well as an entire year of events and activities celebrating the late President’s term in office.
  • The Natural History Museum is adding 3.5 acres of urban wilderness garden to its north campus. They are letting sunlight into the building, and bringing its scientists and their work into public view. Five major new exhibitions will feature not only extraordinary specimens, but also the ways they are discovered and studied — using the latest interactive technology to tell stories and stir inquiry about our planet.
  • This new production from Cirque du Soleil is a lyrical, fanciful, kinetic foray into the seventh art. Bringing together dance, acrobatics, live video, filmed sequences and animation, the show takes spectators on a fantastic voyage through the history of cinema and its genres, taking them into the heart of the movie-making process. From illustration to animation, black and white to color, silent films to talkies, fixed shots to swooping camera movements, spectators witness the poetic construction/deconstruction of this art as an object and as a way of transcending reality.Previews begin in July 2011 with the official opening in September 2011.
  • In 2010…King Kong made his re-emergance in the form of 360 3-D at Universal Studios. The new attraction is part of the updated tram tour that also includes new backlot sets that were destroyed in 2008.In 2012, Universal Studios Hollywood will unveil a new thrilling attraction…we can’t give you any more details at this time, but as you would expect from Universal Studios…it will be exciting!
