Ok, after you’ve finished your happy dance, you crazy thing you, we’ll jump into… Fanship Friday!!! Today’s topic, video marketing with a WordPress Blog! Video marketing is all the rage these days when it comes to engaging fans. There are a multitude of ways to make use of it, but like anything else you’re not familiar with, it can become overwhelming. “Humans are incredibly visual and powerful, moving images help us find meaning… [and] video helps capture and contextualize the world around us.” ~Dan Patterso First let’s take a quick look at why video marketing is so important, then we’ll jump into some tutorials to get you started!Via seo-hacker.com— Immensely Social Resources for Writers, Bloggers, Social Media Enthusiasts, and Lovers of Life, Art, & Fun
  • 2. To make your life a bit easier, I have done the leg work and found some tutorials and resources that will help you along the way. Today is going to lean towards those newer to blogging and video marketing. YouTube happens to be the #2 search engine in the world, last time I checked. Definitely a platform, I would take advantage of. First up is a video to help you get started on YouTube if you don’t already have a channel. This will allow you to upload your own videos as well as share videos created by others. After that, we’ll look into sharing those videos on your WordPress Blog! Here is Rick’s Tips to get started on YouTube…
  • 3. Have no idea what Rick was talking about with that “code” stuff? No problem, we’ll jump into that now… I want to mention that you can also just place the link you get under “share” on YouTube in the “visual” section of your WordPress edit area where you want the video to appear! Vimeo is another great “video” site to get started on. I haven’t used it much myself yet, but plan to in the near future.
  • 4. Here are the embedding instructions for Vimeo… Hopefully, those tutorials will at least get you started on the journey to making use of these Powerful Video Platforms! Some More “Video Marketing” Resources For You Want to have videos created for you on the cheap? You guys and gals know I love Fiverr! I am currently testing out a fantastic product by my colleague Peter Drew! It’s called Video Curation Pro and is offering a great number of people “video marketing” success! It is an automated software and requires Windows, but great option for you PC users! Video Curation Pro: The Best Video Marketing Software on the Planet Reel SEO website is a great resource for Video Marketing tips and trends http://www.reelseo.com/video/marketing/ I happen to be a visual learner so following steps from YouTube tutorials has helped me out tremendously with my blog. I hope this helped you out. If you prefer to read directions, searching for tutorials on a PDF sharing site like Slide Share, may be more your speed. Still wondering why video marketing is so effective? Check out this great article on Forbes: Why Online Video is Vital For Your 2013 Content Marketing Objectives Visit and subscribe to my channel @ http://www.youtube.com/user/lorihilable/ My videos lean more towards the “personal development” side rather than tutorials, but I share those, as well.
