Know your daughter’s friends’ parents and feel confident that social events meet your expectations as parents. Young students need to be protected and allowed to grow-up slowly and safely. Negotiate time spent on-line on social network sites. Stay informed about latest changes and trends in technology. Encourage participation in extra-curricular activities. This will support leadership skills building, positive relationships and happy, safe girls. Observe and read the cues when your daughter is stressed. If her stress escalates and you feel it is lasting too long, seek the advice of your GP , the school counsellor or your daughter’s Head of House. Encourage your daughter to get involved in all House and School events, leadership opportunities and social justice events. A positive attitude and connection to the school lead to safe, happy kids.
