What is LEEP?<br />Provide enrichment and extension for gifted and highly capable students<br />Develop Leadershipin ICT<br />Provide students with the means to enhance and personalise their learning, by providing access to information and experts whenever, and wherever<br />Berwick Lodge E-learning Extension Program<br />
  4. 4. How Does LEEP Work?<br />About 100 students in small groups (~8) withdrawn from class (show timetable)<br />One hour per week (Our Motto “Think Fast Work Hard”)<br />Students selected from grades 2 – 6 <br />
  5. 5. Leadership Examples<br />Radio show<br />Blogging<br />In the classroom<br />In Front of the Classroom<br />Film making<br />Skype – debating, interviewing, <br />Eracism Debate Team – International Online Debates<br />
  6. 6. Radio Show<br />Weekly 1 hour live radio show with the local community radio.<br />Operate Panel (microphones & music)<br />

Radio Show<br />LEEP students are first in their grade to perform + model<br />Work with the other students to write scripts – using Google Docs<br />Make the scripts interesting with conversation<br />Help with interviews<br />Create music play lists<br />Support students who need an extra hand in the show<br />Create podcasts<br />Berwick Lodge PS Podcast Page<br />

  10. 10. In Front of the Classroom<br />Students will demonstrate “How to” at the beginning of ICT lessons<br />Students work is a good model for others to follow.<br />They help their teachers (eg. loading the files into a class VoiceThread)<br />
